Regenerative Fridays (for Future)
November 20, 2025

Concept
Regenerative Fridays is a public policy mechanism that grants tax incentives to companies that allow employees to take one day off per month to devote part of their working hours to volunteering in certified regenerative and socio-environmental projects.
#marbohstudio #ideiasvivas #politicapublica #regeneracao #voluntariado #economiaverde #decrescimento #bemcomum #fridaysforfuture #impactosocial #livingideas #publicpolicy #regeneration #volunteering #greeneconomy #degrowth #commongood #socialimpact
How it works
A new law supplementing the National Volunteer Policy establishes that participating companies receive tax relief proportional to the number of employees who join the “Regenerative Fridays” program.
Employees receive one paid Friday per month, conditional on participating in at least four hours of volunteer work in social and environmental projects registered in accordance with Law No. 9,608/1998, which defines volunteer work as unpaid activity without an employment relationship.
Workers interested in joining the program can register through the RFFF program's public platform, which brings together a database of certified social and environmental projects and allows project managers to record the hours worked.
The certification generated by the platform serves as formal proof for the company to obtain the tax benefit, ensuring legal certainty and transparency.
Based on positive results, the program may be expanded to two or more Fridays per month, strengthening the country's regenerative culture and amplifying the positive impact of the projects.
Proposed formula for calculating the ICMS discount for companies participating in the program.
ICMS Discount = P × F × T
P = percentage of enrolled employees (between 0 and 1) Ex.: 10% → 0.10
F = adjustment factor for company size (F = 1 / √N where N is the total number of employees)
T = maximum discount allowed by law (T = 0.5 corresponding to a maximum 50% discount)
Document containing the complete study of the discount rate.
Proposed wording for the Bill - Regenerative Fridays
Objectives
Create a public policy instrument that integrates development, regeneration, and social inclusion without relying on budgetary funds.
Expand the volunteer workforce in socio-environmental initiatives, strengthening and expanding the impact of regeneration in the country.
Generate public and measurable data on environmental and social impact.
Integrate volunteer work into the work routine, promoting mental health, well-being, social engagement, and citizen participation.
Increase belonging, social cohesion, and strengthen care networks.
Reduce productive pressure and stimulate an economic pace compatible with planetary limits.
Create a pioneering national precedent in regenerative public policies, aligned with ESG guidelines and the climate commitments of Brazil and other countries that implement the program.
Solution context
The National Volunteer Policy encourages citizen participation, but depends on budget availability, institutional capacity, and voluntary participation by companies and organizations.
Law No. 9,608/1998 establishes volunteering as an unpaid practice, but does not provide mechanisms to integrate the productive sector or facilitate participation on a national scale.
The SFR functions as a natural evolution of these policies, capable of mobilizing a critical mass of volunteer work—at no additional cost to the state and with enormous social and environmental returns.
Contemporary economies operate under patterns of overwork, hyperproductivity, and overconsumption, exceeding ecological limits and exacerbating inequalities.
To rebalance the system, policies are needed that slow down the economy, value human time, and increase citizen participation.
The SFR converts a minimal part of the work week into regenerative social energy, without significant loss of macroeconomic productivity.
Taking Action
Create an interministerial technical group (Labor, Environment, Human Rights, Finance) together with representatives from NGOs and the Fridays For Future movement to structure the regulatory framework that defines tax incentives, project certification, and responsibilities of the parties for the Regenerative Fridays Bill.
Integrate the proposal into the instruments already provided for in the National Volunteer Policy Bill.
Develop the pilot SFR digital platform and begin accrediting socio-environmental initiatives.
Conduct fiscal, social, and environmental impact studies to support the legislative process.
Engage companies with ESG policies and large existing volunteer networks.
Build a national awareness and advocacy campaign.
Potential Partners
Ministries (Labor, Environment, Human Rights, Citizenship)
City halls and state governments
B Corporations and corporate sectors committed to ESG
NGOs, collectives, and socio-environmental movements
Unions and workers' associations
Research institutions and universities

Ancestral Wise Trees
November 7, 2025

Concept
Inspired by the art of projecting faces onto tree canopies, this installation creates a poetic space for dialogue with the wisdom of the forest. People can talk to and ask questions of the tree, which shares ancestral wisdom through stories, myths, and fables inspired by the traditions of indigenous peoples.
#livingideas, #artInstallation, #urban, #cop30nobrasil, #cultura, #povosdafloresta
How it works
An obelisk-shaped totem, equipped with a high-resolution projector, is installed near a large tree in a public park.
Projection: Ancestral faces are projected onto the tree canopy, revealing its living and welcoming presence.
Sound: Discreet speakers installed among the branches give voice to the spirit of the tree.
Interaction: A microphone on the trunk captures questions from the public, which are interpreted by artificial intelligence trained to communicate the ancestral wisdom of forest peoples.
Living narratives: Answers in the form of stories, proverbs, and regenerative teachings are transmitted in real time, connecting the urban public to profound and often invisible knowledge.
Objectives
To make the ancestral wisdom of the forest peoples accessible through an artistic and immersive experience.
To generate empathy, respect, and awareness about the importance of indigenous and riverside cultures.
To raise awareness of the urgency of preserving forests and biodiversity.
To create a public space for contemplation and spiritual reconnection with nature.
To inspire changes in mindset regarding our role as guardians of life on the planet.

Roberta Carvalho: Projection of faces of people with rare diseases onto trees in São Paulo, uniting art, health, and social awareness.
Aldelina Oliveira (Belém – Guamá Project): Projection of faces of riverside dwellers, highlighting the way of life and worldview of Amazonian communities.
Solution context
We live in an era of intense environmental degradation: almost 10 million hectares of forest are lost every year, equivalent to 30 football fields per minute. This devastation causes loss of biodiversity, soil erosion, climate change, water crises, and the violent expulsion of forest peoples from their territories. Reference
The hegemony of colonial, patriarchal, and extractive culture marginalizes and erases the knowledge of these peoples. However, their wisdom is essential for us to learn again how to live in harmony with the Earth.
The Ancestral Wise Trees project rescues and amplifies this knowledge, translating it into contemporary and accessible language, giving the forest its voice back in the heart of cities.
Taking Action
Criteria to ensure implementation with greater ethics, legitimacy, and impact should follow the following principles:
Conduct co-design of the project with communities (Indigenous leadership at all stages). In particular, in defining what types of content will be included (public stories vs. sacred knowledge), how they will be annotated, and who will have access.
The governance and licensing model should place rights and control in the hands of the communities (e.g., data ownership, usage limits).
Technical transparency (knowing what data was used, how the model responds, decision logs).
Restricted and sensitive uses: language preservation, archiving stories, support for environmental management, and — when appropriate — artistic experiences approved by the community.
Practical steps for implementation:
Select urban parks with large trees and good public circulation.
Develop the totem-projector with generative AI technology trained on ancestral narratives (with Indigenous supervision and curation).
Create initial interaction scripts to stimulate questions and dialogues.
Hold inauguration events with collective listening and sharing ceremonies.
Integrate the installation into educational programs, workshops, and guided tours.
Potential Partners
Indigenous and riverside organizations (Maracá Institute / Museum of Indigenous Arts, APIIB, COIAB, Raoni Institute).
Cultural institutions (Sesc, Itaú Cultural, Goethe-Institut).
Urban parks and municipal departments of environment/culture.
Environmental NGOs (WWF, Greenpeace, Amazon Watch).
Creative technology and projection companies (Christie Digital, Epson, AR/VR studios).
Art and socio-environmental impact funds.

JenGaia - The Planetary Limits Game
July 28, 2025

Concept
The traditional game of Jenga becomes a powerful and playful metaphor for how human actions are leading Gaia's ecosystems to collapse - at the same time, it shows that we can still act collectively to restore planetary balance.
#product, #science, #education, #irony, #storytelling, #climateemergency, #environmentalimpact
How it works
JenGaia is a creative adaptation of the Jenga game, where each wooden block is painted a color representing one of Earth’s essential ecosystems, inspired by the 9 Planetary Boundaries.
Players roll a colored dice — the color rolled indicates which block from the tower must be removed.
Each removed block represents a critical loss in that ecosystem, bringing us closer to the tipping points.
The black color on the dice represents feedback loops (negative reinforcement cycles); when rolled, players must start removing two colored blocks at once instead of one.
On top of the tower sits a base holding a model of planet Earth, also made from wooden pieces. When the last critical block is removed, the tower collapses and the planet falls apart into pieces, symbolizing total collapse.
However, there is an alternative: at any moment, players can choose to change their strategy and play cooperatively, putting the block back to restore ecosystems, rebuild planetary balance, and save our home Gaia. In this cooperative version, everyone wins.
Rules of the Game
JenGaia – The Planetary Boundaries Game
Each JenGaia block represents an essential system that supports life on Earth. The colors show the six major challenges we must balance to keep the planet alive and healthy:
Color legend
Green: Deforestation and destruction of natural habitats
Blue: Rising temperatures, acidification and pollution of oceans and water bodies; changes and reductions in rainfall cycles
Yellow: Soil depletion, erosion and poisoning
Orange: Global temperature rise due to increased greenhouse gas emissions
Red: Drastic loss of biodiversity
Purple: Increased intensity and frequency of extreme weather events
How to play
Stack each section of colored pieces until the tower is complete. On top, assemble the Earth planet.
Each player, in turn, must roll the die and remove a piece from the tower corresponding to the color shown on the die.
When removing a piece, read aloud the negative impact that its color represents. You can illustrate this loss with real-world examples, share news, or scientific data.
The black color on the die represents a negative feedback loop. When rolled, all players, in their turn, will remove two colored pieces instead of one.
The game ends in two ways:
a) When the planetary balance reaches its limit and the tower collapses—showing that we have reached the point of no return.
b) When the players identify that the tower is already in a critical state and decide to restore planetary ecosystems to restore Gaia's balance.
Then each player, in turn, chooses a piece of the color they consider most important, proposes solutions to prevent that impact from recurring and/or to repair the damage already caused.
Everyone wins when the tower is finally rebuilt and Gaia is saved.
Objective: To play, reflect, and imagine together new ways to restore Gaia's balance.
Solution context
We live in an era marked by multiple interconnected environmental crises — climate change, biodiversity loss, pollution, and soil and ocean degradation. Most people understand these threats in an abstract and distant way. JenGaia translates the science of Planetary Boundaries into a tangible, emotional, and collaborative experience, capable of inspiring reflection and action.
The game works as an educational, activist, and engagement tool, raising awareness of the urgency to protect the planet and demonstrating that cooperation is our best chance to avoid collapse.
Taking Action
Physical version adapted from Jenga with colored blocks, a dice and Earth model.
Instruction manual with a brief introduction to the 9 Planetary Boundaries.
A short video of friends playing the game and discussing about what it represents (educational content). Before the collapse of the tower (Planet) they decide to put the blocks back into the missing spots to recover Gaia balance and garantee a health future for all.
Potential Partners
Board game manufacturers such as Hasbro and Estrela
Greenpeace, WWF (environmental education)
NGOs and foundations related to the environment and education

Magic Rewilding Pencils
July 2, 2025

Concept
Imagine being able, with a touch of magic, to transform a gray, lifeless landscape into a vibrant place full of lush nature. With the Magic Rewilding Pencils app, this is possible. Paint the beautiful world you want to live in.
#product, #education, #art, #children, #schools, #urban, #ecologicalrestoration, #natureconnection
How it works
Magic Rewilding Pencils is an interactive augmented reality and artificial intelligence app that allows you to take a photo of any place and, with simple gestures as if you were drawing with a magic pencil, transform that scene into a regenerated space.
The app automatically detects flat or degraded areas in the photos, suggesting ideal spots for vegetation. The user then chooses from a palette of “magic pencils,” each representing a type of natural element: fruit trees, native flowers, tropical ferns, shrubs, rain gardens, etc. As you slide your finger across the image, as if drawing, vegetation magically grows over the photographed space.
The app works as a tool for ecological imagination and playful activism, allowing anyone to create regenerated versions of their favorite neighborhood, square, or street. Images can be saved, shared on social media, or sent to a regenerative urban ideas bank.
Solution context
Most of people’s everyday landscapes are filled with concrete, asphalt, and monochromatic, lifeless scenes — whether in brutalist cities or degraded rural areas. This constant exposure to the ugly and the dead negatively affects our emotional and mental well-being.
Magic Rewilding Pencils is a proposal for symbolic and creative reconnection with nature — a first step towards collectively dreaming of regenerated cities and territories. By re-enchanting our gaze upon places and generating positive visualizations, we stimulate the desire for real transformation.
Taking Action
Development of a simple app with AR, image recognition, and vegetation layers.
Initial palette with 6 types of vegetation (trees, flowers, etc.).
Interface with interactive pencils simulating digital painting.
Options to save, share, or send to collaborative maps.
Educational mode with messages and tips about nature and urban ecology.
Potential Partners
Faber-Castell (direct synergy with pencils, creativity, and environmental education)
Environmental and youth education organizations
Technology companies focused on sustainability
City halls and departments of environment and culture
NGOs related to urban regeneration and climate activism

Monuments to the Hero's of Life
June 27, 2025

Concept
The symbolic transformation of an urban space that glorifies colonial power into a space that celebrates life.
#intervention, #urban, #event, #decolonialism, #community, #publicpolicy, #commongood, #ecologicalrestoration, #biodiversity, #natureconnection, #art, #belonging
How it works
Symbolic replacement of statues of military or imperial figures that occupy squares and public spaces with representations of the true heroes of life: pollinators such as bees and butterflies, wild animals that play a vital role in ecosystems such as owls, snakes, opossums, jaguars, among others.
The idea proposes granting these beings their rightful place, showing reverence for biodiversity, and creating a new urban symbolic vocabulary that values life instead of violence and domination. The new sculptures can be produced from recycled plastics or biocomposite materials, with aesthetics inspired by contemporary public art.
Symbolic reference: the parliament of Bhutan includes statues of native animals representing nature as part of political decisions, evoking wisdom and ecological balance.
Solution context
Many traditional urban landmarks celebrate domination, war, or colonial power. In times of climate crisis, biodiversity collapse, and social polarization, it is urgent to re-signify public space. Replacing warlike symbols with sculptures that honor natural cycles and life as a common good is an act of symbolic healing and regenerative political imagination. This living idea proposes an emotional and sensory re-education on what truly deserves to be celebrated and remembered.
Taking Action
Identify squares with obsolete or controversial statues.
Create a sculpture of a native animal or ecological agent (bee, tree, bird) using recycled material.
Hold a symbolic event to replace or temporarily overlay the new sculpture on the existing pedestal.
Activate the square with community presence, cultural performances, and educational activities.
Potential Partners
Municipal departments of environment and culture
Companies with strong ESG positioning (e.g., Natura, Unilever, Ben & Jerry’s)
Biodiversity and animal protection NGOs
Public art and contemporary urban art funds
Educational institutions committed to urban regeneration

We Are All Earth
June 16, 2025

Concept
An art installation that represents reintegration into life and inspires ecological humility by reminding us that we are made of the same living matter that forms the Earth.
#artInstallation, #art, #deepEcology, #culture, #manifesto, #humor, #weAreNature, #environmentaleducation, #intervention
How it works
In public parks of large cities, sculptures of billionaires known for neglecting environmental issues — such as Donald Trump, Jeff Bezos, and Elon Musk — are displayed lying down as lifeless bodies. The sculptures are made from a mix of soil, clay, and covered with seeds of local grasses and wildflowers. Over time, the sculpture decomposes and blooms as a wild garden, symbolizing the return to Earth and reintegration into the cycle of life.
Each sculpture is accompanied by a memorial-style plaque with ironic phrases such as:
“Donald Trump — finally doing something good for the Earth.”
“Jeff Bezos — Your fertilizer package has arrived.”
The public — and the billionaires themselves — are invited to reflect on how our living existence is an inseparable part of nature, evoking humility before the gifts of the natural world that make life possible. It serves as a reminder that death is part of this cycle in which we are recycled and return to the Earth to feed other beings. It also exposes the (ir)responsibility of those who hold power in the (de)construction of the planet’s future, and what legacy they will leave behind.
Solution context
We live in an era of deep inequalities and ecological collapse. Economic elites hold disproportionate power in deciding the planet’s course, yet remain disconnected from the natural cycles that sustain life. This living idea is a public, symbolic, and ecological provocation about belonging, finitude, and transformation. It evokes the principles of deep ecology, planetary justice, and Joanna Macy’s “Work That Reconnects.”
Taking Action
Sculptures made from soil, seeds, and biodegradable artistic molds.
Installation in public parks or squares, with the area cordoned off.
Plaques with provocative phrases + QR code explaining the work.
An Instagram profile shares weekly photo or video updates to document the decomposition/blooming cycle and publishes the most provocative messages left by visitors.
Potential Partners
Climate and environmental justice funds
Cultural institutions and contemporary art museums
Environmental and climate activism NGOs
Brands with a radical or provocative positioning towards regeneration and symbolic activism (e.g., Patagonia, Greenpeace, Extinction Rebellion)
Foundations focused on education for social and ecological justice
Cultural departments of progressive cities

Natural Re-volt (Re-turn)
May 16, 2025

Concept
The “Natural Re-Volt (Return)” is a performative manifesto for the reintegration of nature into our lives—and our imaginations. In this act, trees are planted, radically and symbolically, in unlikely yet iconic locations within urban centers.
More than a protest, it is a poetic invitation to reconnect cities and people with the web of life.
#protest, #activism, #climateJustice, #urban, #festival, #ecologicalrestoration, #demonstration, #reforestation, #intervention, #marbohstudio, #livingideas
How it works
Eco-guerrilla interventions transform iconic and overly paved areas into points of reverence for plant life. Young collectives perform a choreographed action blending activism, ritual, and public art.
Script of the act
Group 1 — Ground Opening
Dressed as city workers, they arrive during peak hours.
They cordon off the area with tape and cones, simulating official work.
Using a circular saw and crowbar, they remove pavement slabs (approx. 1 m²).
They dig 1 meter deep and fill the space with fertile soil.
Group 2 — Planting Ceremony
Four young people, wearing animal masks, arrive carrying a native tree seedling over 1.6 m tall on a litter.
They bring large water containers and planting tools.
They plant the tree in the opened space.
Group 3 — Children’s Circle
Ten children arrive and form a circle holding hands around the area.
They sing songs celebrating nature while the seedling is planted.
Closing Ritual
Around the tree, they install a rope fence tied to wooden stakes (1 m high).
The children hang notes with inspiring messages and wishes for the future of nature and the city.
The result is a poetic-political act that returns, even if symbolically, a piece of the city to its original owner: nature.
Solution context
Our cities were built upon the suppression of nature. By reclaiming even a small space for a tree, we reignite the imagination that green life can — and should — reclaim its place in the urban heart. This intervention questions values, celebrates reconnection, and invites people to imagine healthier, shadier, and more biodiverse city centers.
Inspired by the spontaneous phenomenon of wild plants and flowers that sprout through the tiniest cracks in concrete and bloom amidst urban hostility, the project amplifies this natural gesture to the scale of an artistic and political intervention.
Objectives
Provoke reflection on the role of nature in cities.
Create a symbol of urban regeneration and reconciliation.
Inspire real actions for revegetation and ecological restoration.
Taking Action
Select a small and safe urban space (e.g., square, wall, or corner).
Install plants in large pots and mobile green modules, creating the effect of a natural invasion.
Use native and pollinator species.
Create photographic and video records for social media.
Include poetic signs with short messages about the “Natural Re-Volt.”
Potential Partners
Environmental activists and art collectives
Urban residents sensitive to environmental issues
Environmental NGOs and urban ecology movements
Cultural and educational spaces
City governments and environmental departments
Regenerative landscaping companies
Sustainable product brands (food, fashion, furniture)
Cultural spaces, museums, and community centers
